A troubling number of Asian Americans say they’ve knowingly shared made-up political stories

Limited-English-proficient respondents reported higher rates of sharing fabricated political stories, while political affiliation made little difference in who acknowledged doing it.

About 1 in 5 Asian Americans surveyed said they had shared a political story despite knowing it was made-up at the time. Another third said they had passed along political stories they only later discovered were fabricated.
