“Cupertino,” an upcoming legal drama named after a California city where a majority of residents are Asian, is drawing criticism over its limited Asian American representation. The show, which premieres Oct. 8 on the CBS Television Network and Paramount+, has just one Asian American actor among its six principal cast members.
