Miyako says joining Netflix’s “Avatar: The Last Airbender” became even more meaningful after she recognized a detail that reflected her own identity. In the show’s second season, she plays Toph Beifong, the blind earth-bending prodigy who becomes Aang’s teacher and one of Team Avatar’s most beloved members, in the series’ second season.
