On paper, Asian Americans are doing remarkably well when it comes to wealth. According to the Federal Reserve’s latest Survey of Consumer Finances, Asian households have a median net worth of $536,000, compared with $285,000 for White families, $61,600 for Hispanic families and $44,900 for Black families.
