Tokyo X, one of Houston’s growing Japanese culture festivals, is returning to NRG Center on Sept. 26-27, 2026.
The two-day indoor festival brings together Japanese food, anime, cosplay, live performances, JDM car culture, artists, fashion, collectibles, cultural showcases and guest appearances from talent across Japan and the U.S.
This year’s lineup already includes names like Karen Fukuhara, Dante Basco, Brian Beacock, Yong Yea, Jon Bailey, Dai Yoshihara, Yaya Han and more.
CODA, known for performing theme songs from “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure,” will also perform live at Tokyo X, with the concert included for attendees.
NextShark is partnering with Tokyo X this year to help spotlight the festival and the larger cultural bridge it is building between Houston and Japan.
What makes the event interesting is that it is not just a convention. Tokyo X is trying to create a full cultural experience — one where anime fans, food lovers, car enthusiasts, artists, families and people curious about Japan can all find a way in.
